What’s Happening This Week

It looks like the markets have somewhat stabilized after the Federal Reserve commentary regarding tapering and interest rates. We are keeping it light for the last week and watching how high growth tech stocks perform before we go into the new year, especially with the Omicron variant. Many stocks are down 20-40% from highs, and the new year could setup some good buys for us.

Chip Shortage Continues

We’ve talked about the chip shortage several times and one stock we like to come back to is Cadence Design Systems. Known for the software that designs chips, it doesn’t matter where demand increases, they stand to benefit. Read out take here.

Apple AR/VR headset

At this point it is still a prediction, but we know Apple is a big fan of the metaverse. If we get an AR/VR headset in 2022, it could be a huge compliment to their app store, which serves as a metaverse gatekeeper. It has been one of our favorite plays in the space this year and we think the market agrees with the stock up roughly 35% this year. Read our take here.
